The mussels are purged in off-shore waters for 2 days, ensuring it is free of any grit & sand with the beards completely shaved. Because of this specific cleaning process, we can assure you these will be the best & cleanest tasting wild mussel in all of New England. We guarantee our mussels to be alive upon delivery. Due to market and weather fluctuations of availability, we reserve the right to substitute with Maine mussels.
